چکیده

This paper presents transmission and reception of grey scale image through Rayleigh fading channel. Grey scale image is made up of pixel values. These pixel values are represented by decimal values. For transmission these pixel values are obtained using MATLAB and converted into binary bits. Grey Scale image is transmitted through different systems. Firstly it is transmitted through Alamouti Space Time Block Codes (STBC) system, and then it is transmitted through Concatenated Alamouti STBC with Convolution codes, then through Concatenated Alamouti STBC with Hamming codes and through Concatenated Alamouti STBC with ReedSolomon codes using BPSK modulation. Comparison has been done on the basis of quality of reproduced image in terms of image performance metrics i.e. Quality index (Q-Index) and PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) for the different values of SNR for above mentioned Systems. BER (Bit Error Rate) analysis has been done for one transmitter and one receiver, two transmitters and two receivers, two transmitters and two receiver concatenated with different channel codes. The results are presented by plots between BER Vs SNR using Monte Carlo Simulation. It has been observed that in terms of BER performance analysis of proposed system provides better results for Concatenated RS channel codes with STBC than other proposed concatenated channel codes with STBC. In terms of image performance metrics PSNR and Q-Index, simulations results show that the quality of reconstructed image significantly improved for concatenated Reed-Solomon channel codes with STBC. Performance Analysis of a Concatenated Ldpc Coded Alamouti-based Stbc-ofdm System on Text Message Transmission

This paper investigates the impact of concatenation of an interleaved low density parity check (LDPC) code with convolutional channel coding on the performance of the space time block coded (STBC) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) wireless communication system on text message transmission. The concatenated channel encoded OFDM system deploys various digital modulations (BPSK, QP...

Differential Space Time Block Codes Using Nonconstant Modulus Constellations for Four Transmit Antennas

We propose differential space time block codes (STBC) using nonconstant modulus constellations, e.g., quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), which cannot be utilized in the conventional differential STBC. Since QAM constellations have a larger minimum distance compared with the phase shift keying (PSK), the proposed method has the advantage of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gain compared with conv...

Single-Carrier Frequency-Domain Equalization for Orthogonal STBC over Frequency-Selective MIMO-PLC channels

In this paper we propose a new space diversity scheme for broadband PLC systems using orthogonal space-time block coding (OSTBC) transmission combined with single-carrier frequency-domain equalization (SC-FDE). To apply this diversity technique to PLC channels, we first propose a new technique for combining SC-FDE with OSTBCs applicable to all dispersive multipath channels impaired by impulsive...

Performance Improvement of Mc-cdma System through Dstbc Site Diversity

Multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) systems receive a great deal of attention due to their great potential in achieving high data rates in wireless communication. Nevertheless, when transmission over fading channel multi-cell interference occurs and this degrades the performance of the system. Site diversity technique is applied to the system to overcome this problem. Due to n...

Frequency-Domain Space-Time Block Coded-Joint Transmit/Receive Diversity for Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum Signal Transmission

Recently, we proposed space-time block coded-joint transmit/receive antenna diversity (STBC-JTRD) for narrow band transmission in a frequency-nonselective fading channel; it allows an arbitrary number of transmit antennas while limiting the number of receive antennas to 4. In this paper, we extend STBC-JTRD to the case of frequency-selective fading channels and propose frequency-domain STBC-JTR...
